A Look Back to Move Forward in 2021

Happy New Year! Welcome to the launch of our new website and blog! January is a month of reflection, providing an opportunity to pay homage to its predecessor while embarking on New Year’s resolutions. However, this month feels a little different. 2020 was an unprecedented year that impacted the world on a global scale, leaving its mark in countless and unique ways. Therefore, instead of focusing on NY’s resolutions in this post, we choose to reflect back on 2020 with a sense of reverence, humility, and a deeper understanding of the human condition. For many businesses it was the year of the pivot, and we believe this is the beginning of a new era in health and wellness.
“Even before the pandemic, many people around the U.S. were beginning to dabble in proactive and preventative health and wellness practices,” Wendy Liebmann, CEO of WSL Strategic Retail, said in an article by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. “What this pandemic has revealed is that taking care and control of your own health — individual, family, home, etc. — is even more critical than before.”
Rejuv At Work has been at the forefront of consumer trends since its inception. When our company launched in 2010, we offered exclusive onsite Massage Therapy services. Over the next decade, we branched out into the areas of Fitness, Meditation and Stress Management to serve the needs of the wellness community and our ever-growing client base. When COVID-19 came to the U.S., we wasted no time in becoming one of the first in our industry to successfully transition to 100% virtual services. In just a few shorts months, we added an abundance of new classes and webinars, including virtual Kids programs (to alleviate our clients’ working parents!) and interactive Cooking classes.
As we move into 2021 with eyes wide open, there are those who wonder how quickly people will return to gyms and on-site fitness centers. Beth McGroarty, Vice President of Research for the Global Wellness Institute states, “The post-virus wellness future will be a ‘hybrid’ approach for many more people,” she predicts, with consumers making selective trips to gyms, fitness studios or businesses they trust, but otherwise keeping much of their activity online.
The team at Rejuv at Work is dedicated to helping employees with their health and wellness every step of the way. We see ourselves as servant leaders, with our #1 goal being to support employees’ physical and mental health and wellbeing during this pandemic. Rejuv is grateful to share the same values with our clients – caring for their staff while benefitting them and their families with the best wellness resources and modalities available.
We plan to continue our virtual services indefinitely, as companies consistently report back to us an uptick in employee engagement and motivation. People love the variety of classes they can experience while working from home. Heraclitus, the Greek philosopher said, “Change is the only constant in life.” No truer words have been spoken about 2020 and beyond. We’re in this together and we’re stronger for it!
